  2.              AND CONTROLLING POSITIONING

  5. The slit-lamp is turned on and off at the control mounted 
  6. below the table on the right side.  
  7.  
  8. The light intensity is controlled by the small knob to the 
  9. right and in front of the joystick.
  10.  
  11. The movement of the slit-lamp biomicroscope laterally 
  12. and in and out is controlled by the joystick.  The vertical 
  13. movement is by twisting the the joystick-clockwise
  14. to raise and counter-clockwise to lower.
  15.  
  16. The unit can be locked so it does not move by 
  17. the small knob on the left side of the joystick.  This 
  18. should be locked when not in use so the unit is not 
  19. damaged when it is swung out of the way if on the 
  20. stand or when the table is moved.
